About Flux Grid
What Flux Grid is, how puzzles are generated, and why we built a daily word game around discovery and speed.
What is Flux Grid?
Flux Grid is a daily word puzzle built around two ideas: every board should feel fair, and every player should have something to chase. Each day you get a fresh 4×4 grid to clear, a themed 5×5 puzzle, an optional Speed Streak for sub-30-second solvers, and a real-time Challenge mode to race a friend.
Who makes it
Flux Grid is developed by Mikisu Studio, a small indie team focused on clean, fast puzzle games. We run the project with a single backend and no external ad network until the content and experience meet our own standards.
How puzzles are generated
Daily puzzles are generated with a curated word pool and validated against the ENABLE dictionary. Before a puzzle is published, we verify that it is solvable and that no unintended 4-corner-quadrant layout appears. Themed puzzles use an additional theme filter so every word fits the day's topic.
Update cadence
- New daily and themed puzzles publish at midnight UTC.
- Wednesday boards use 3 or 5 words while still totaling 16 tiles.
- Friday boards use gravity mode: tiles fall after each cleared word.
- Challenge mode uses a fresh random grid for every room.
Why no practice mode?
The daily puzzle is designed to be a shared daily ritual. Everyone sees the same board on the same day, which makes leaderboard times meaningful and gives the community a common puzzle to discuss.
